On the 28th on June we took off for Spokane, Washington to meet our friends the Larkins, who were coming from California. We thought we had fixed the problem with the car but found out that was not the case outside of Lundbreck when once again the cap blew and the antifreeze exploded everywhere. Luckily Jeff was prepared and had made his own cap and we were able to fix it, get antifreeze in Lundbreck and get on our way.(It has held up far better that the mechanic's fix)
We took a few wrong turns that led us on a scenic route but kept us on time. We met up with the Larkins and had 3 days of FUN!
Our first day we explored Spokane and Riverfront Park with it's walking paths and sky ride of the Falls. We had luch at riverpark mall and then went shopping at the spokane mall. The next day we were off for Silverwood Theme park.We were greeted by Garfield who gave us a warm welcome and then we were off on a wild west train ride and some excitement on the crazy rollercoasters. We were soaked to the skin on the log ride and the Thunder rapids ride. Jeff was able to talk me onto an upside down twisting turning freaky rollercoaster called the AFTERSHOCK. I SCREAMED the whole ride but I survived. I can't believe how exhausting it is to spend the day at an amusement park.
The next day we were back for round two and were happy that it was warmer that day as we headed for Boulder Beach their water park. It had two wave pools, two highspeed rides, 4 tube rides and a big 6 person river ride. The water was cold but we had lots of fun. We then headed back for more fun with the rollercoasters and other rides. We love having such great friends to spend time with. It is amazing how it doesn't matter how long we go between visits it only takes a moment of being together to be back to being family!
